Sponsored: Trinity Styles

So, as you guys know I LOVE shopping for Korean and Japanese clothing. The only way I know to obtain those fashion is to purchase it online.
I'm pretty sure, I may be queen, if not princess, of buying things online.
Well, let me tell you I have found a great store that holds Korean and Japanese fashions, and when I say Japanese fashions, they have a good handful of Japanese gal brands and brand look alikes, which make me really happy!
The shop that I am talking about, is called, Trinity Styles who has a webshop and a facebook shop.
Trinity was kind enough to gift me a product of choice and even added on a super adorable bag with it!
Let me just say, not even 2 weeks after the item was decided on and ordered, it was on my door step! So, unlike ordering direct from Asia, it doesn't take 3+ weeks to get to you, well, at least for me as I live in California USA.
The MercuryDuo bag is a really cute hand bag with floral print and is perfect for summer. I can't wait to use it to the beach or for days strolling around the park~
My item of choice was the 'Oui Princess Dress' item for purchase here
Oh my goodness, the quality is really nice, and unlike some dresses I buy for a similar price on ebay, it doesn't fall apart at the seams instantly.... [trust me, it's happened a good amount of times... -___-;]
The stitching is secure and the fabric is really nice quality and exactly like the picture on the site!

When I saw the dress in person, I thought that it was the perfect amusement park/state fair dress and so I decided to wear it when my friends invited me to go to the fair with them.

I was actually really surprised when people kept complimenting me on my dress and saying it was really pretty! One lady taking tickets for a ride actually stopped me to point out that I looked really classy and asked where I got my dress. I was honestly very shocked and pleased by the reactions I got~
So please pardon me while I camwhore in the dress...
I paired the dress with  a cute necklace with eyeglasses on them, some gold bangles, a pearl watch, a simple bow ring and a pair of cream sandals. I also dug out my mum's old mint hand bag to follow the mint and pink trend that I've been noticing in my magazines<3

The detailing on the skirt. Can I mention that this was the main reason I fell in love with the dress?  Well, it is. I really like the ruching, like, a lot!
I like to think that the cut of the dress is flattering on me, not to mention that it's one size fits most, and I'm roughly a US size 6, so I was really happy to get a dress that works on my body shape and size.
Also, I should mention here that before ordering, please take your measurements to compare to the ones listed with the clothing item, just to be on the safe side~

Now, let me tell you guys some exciting news~ Trinity Styles is now an affiliate with my page!

Bunny Hat Tutorial

SO, I made a bunny hat. I find it kind of awesome and apparently so did a bunch of other people, so I decided to make a tutorial for it. Now, mind you I am not at all gifted at sewing or pattern making. I cut a bunch of paper to figure out the best way to make this... I'm also sure there are better tutorials out there, but I think I did okay.

What you will need:
1/2 yard of fabric for lining, I used fleece for mine.
1/2 yard for the outside, I used some super soft fluffy fabric..
Stuffing for pillows/stuffed animals~ I got mine at my local fabric store.
Sturdy String
2 pom poms
Thread
Scissors
Marker

Optional:
Anything you want to decorate it with, I chose some flower patches, but you can use bows or something.

My fabrics^^
Here's a really icky looking pattern that I used. I repeat, I am not a skilled pattern maker, actually it's my first one and it might be off, because my middle long strip was kind of long...

So, starting off with your outer fabric, cut out 4 ear shapes [please cut 2 like in the above pattern, then 2 opposite/flipped over] and pair them off and face the outside pieces towards each other.

Then sew the two pieces together, leaving the bottom of the ear open. I used a super simple in and out stitch, which is all I know....
Then, when you're done, flip it inside out so what you want the outside to be, is actually outside.
Repeat the same steps for the other ear~
Now for the fun part, stuffing the ear!
Make your ear as loose or stiff as you want, and then when you're done, sew the open end shut. Don't worry about the stitching being visible, it will be hidden later...

Now onto the hat itself. You will want to cut out 2 of the large cap looking pieces, one like above in the pattern and another reversed/flipped over.
And you're going to sew the bunny ear to the top arch, towards the front of the cap shape, the shorter end of the ear towards the front of the cap.
kind of like this vv. Please sew them to the inside/ugly part of the fabric.
And repeat that to the revered/mirrored cap side.
Onto finishing the outer part of the hat and where it starts taking shape!

It's time to sew the side cap pieces to the center pieces and taking note of where the front and back of the center piece is, the  thinner end of the centre piece is the back, the wider end is the front.  Trim where necessary.

I made sure that I sewed the fabric together with the outer parts facing each other.
Kind of like this:
Does that make sense? SO, when you're done, flip it inside out and it should look like the bunny hat already with no visible stitching~

Now, with the fleece, cut out the cap shaped piece and it's flipped over counterpart and the long middle piece and sew it all together like the outer cap.

After that's done, you will want to inverse the outer cap and inner cap so all the ugly bits are facing out and line them correctly so that it's perfectly lined up, front with front~ back with back. You will want to follow around the circumference of the cap sewing the 2 pieces together. Leave an opening somewhere in the back of the cap

When everything is secured but that small section. Turn the cap inside out and pull the ears and everything from inside then sew the opening shut.
YAY! The cap is almost done! All you need to do is measure out out 2 pieces of string so it's long enough to tie if you need to and then sew it to the two edges of your hat.
After that's done, take a pom pom and thread your needle through the center and then through the string and keep repeating that until the pom secured to the string.
Finally, but optionally, adhere whatever you want to your cap, be it a patch or bow or whatever...
Then enjoy your new bunny hat!

Summer Fashion Inspiration~

Note: I really should invest in photoshop so I can collage these images in a pretty way...
Anyways, here are some 'coordinates' and ideas in recent issues of Happie Nuts and Skawaii that I found inspiring for summer<3

Showing a hint of shoulder or decolletage is in this season.

Or instead of baring your upper body, showing a hint of leg instead is another point.

I also love how cute masculine is mixed this season. In the same way casual is thrown in there makes it look so effortless~
^^random note, I love the lyrics on the side... HAHA<3

I also am in love with how they threw in the cross trend with the pastel girly look! The grey is such a great touch without over shadowing the whole outfit!
Mint pumps and denim jacket on top of a screen tee and white denim shorts! I'm loving it!
Also, the plus size gal on the run way made me really happy! Girl can werk it!
AND... Amazing hair inspiration~

I really want to embody these styles this season and hopefully they'll transfer beautifully into late summer and fall!

Also... I want to throw some links at you to where I purchase clothing, both online and in store.

online:
[I also liked minimaos, but apparently, they're in active for the moment]

in store:
