Recent Disney Nails

I love getting my nails done, it's one of my vices, just like fake lashes and hair extensions~

Since July I've been in such a Disney mood, and my nails are definitely reflecting that.
Back in October, I had my nails done to match my Wendy Darling inspired costume.
I like to call them my mermaid lagoon nails. They feature one of the Neverland mermaids, watercolour style nails in a colour scheme taken from the aforementioned scene in Peter Pan and detailed in gold trails of fairy dust. They looked quite magical and it was sad to part with them.

Back in July, I had Rapunzel inspired nails that actually glowed with NFC led lights that triggered when I received a phone call or text message or activated the NFC function on my phone. Details included parts of Rapunzel's dress, the Disney princess herself, golden hair, and of course lots of flowers.
I have a video of the lights in action [here]

My latest set for December is on the more muted side, being inspired by Cinderella.
I wanted something pretty, sparkly and feminine.
Some key details are holographic pieces all throughout the nails, open space designs, and silhouettes of a waltzing Cinderella and one of her pumpkin carriage. The light colours and pearl details are also befitting of winter and remind me of snowflakes, and look so pretty and bring the look full circle.

A fun little touch is the hidden Mickeys on the underside of my nail. I never usually see under nail art, and the  little hidden gems are a nice touch of something unique to my nail set.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my recent nail art.

All my nails are done at Atlas Studio.
I've been going there for almost 6 years now, and I'm always so impressed with the work and atmosphere.

runDisney and New Balance~ Cinderella Running Shoes

The newest trend in magical glass slippers~

So, I've decided to start amping up my exercise routine and lifting every day and doing either running, kick boxing or zumba every day.  It's time to get fit again. So, my friends and I were looking to doing the runDisney Disneyland Marathon, but didn't have the funds to sign up this year, but while looking things up, my friend came across some pictures of official runDisney shoes by New Balance.  [There's like, Goofy, Mickey, Minnie... etc~ kind of shoes, so there's a decent selection]
And so, these shoes you can get by either signing up for the marathon and buying them after registering or by going to specific conventions and purchasing them there. Honestly, the later was too much of a hassle for me, and I NEEDED these Cinderella shoes, and you'll see why below.

Anywho, I found a pair on eBay, bid and bought it at a decently inflated price.
Not even a day after, these shoes were at my door, and how uncanny they came in the same day as my Cinderella MAC makeup. It's all in perfect timing. Like, fairy godmother magic, but like, I paid for...
Now, how pretty and magical are these shoes?  They're a pastel blue ombre, with sporadic silver sparkles and glitter stamps. The shoe bottoms look like Cinderella's dress and it's gorgeous.

Above, are a few details on the shoes that I loved. The shoes had some glass slippers on top, a magical pumpkin carriage inside the shoe tongue, pretty magic sparkles everywhere and a Cinderella picture on the heel. Just perfect, and not too obvious it's Disney from afar, at least to me.. Though, I ordered a good few Cinderella tops to exercise in, so it'll obviously be overkill later on.

But, the shoes are comfy and perfect for exercising. I always love how New Balance supports my feet when I exercise, so no complaints coming from me. They're the perfect fit, like they were magically created for me. Though, I highly doubt they will fall off, like the glass slippers in Cinderella's story.
And, unlike those, these shoes were made for running away in style and comfort.

I'm excited to use them tomorrow for my morning work out.

MAC Cinderella Collection~ My haul

Well, all I can say is I'm a sucker for cute looking makeup.
So, I bought a good chunk of pieces from MAC's Cinderella collection, and wow, I am in love with the packaging. The items all come in this powder blue packaging with a baby pink duo chrome layer on top. It's absolutely gorgeous! I'm not swatching or reviewing the pieces yet, I'll do it when my nails look nice, so in a few weeks probably. My stance on my makeup itself is in the air I need to experiment a bit with it because I'm unsure how to make all the pieces work for me in a complete look. I tried today, and I wasn't satisfied with how it came out, in all honesty. So, for now I'll just show some pretty pictures, give a light description and we'll save the rest for another day when I have a better opinion on the makeup.
MAC Cinderella Beauty Powder in Mystery Princess~ A silvery pinkish-beige highlighter.
MAC Cinderella Iridescent Pressed Powder in Coupe D'Chic~ A shimmery golden-peach facial highlighter? blush? both? I'm not quite sure, honestly.

MAC Cinderella Eyeshadow palette in Stroke of Midnight~ Shades include Vapour, a light peachy-pink; Phloof!, a frosty off-white; Omega, a beige-taupe; Quarry, a plum-brown; Satin Taupe, a silvery taupe, and Stroke of Midnight, a black sparkly plum, which is the only colour in the palette that's a special edition shade for this release.

MAC Cinderella Fluidline in Little Black Bow~ A silvery-gray cream eyeliner.

MAC Cinderella Glitter in Reflects Pearl~ A fine loose white glitter.

Both lipsticks in the collection side by side.
MAC Cinderella Lipstick in Royal Ball~ A nude-pink lipstick
MAC Cinderella Lipstick in Free as a Butterfly~ A sheer golden nude lipstick.
MAC Cinderella Lip glass in Happily Ever After~ A cool, shimmery pink lip gloss.
I'm happy to have gotten the collection, and probably pretty lucky as I was able to snag them when it went up online at 4am, PST~ So, I'm pretty happy. I just need to play around with it a bit.
Again, I think the collection is just gorgeous visually so I'm excited to display it on my vanity. Not to mention, Cinderella one of my favourite Disney movies, and I can't wait for the live action film to come out.
